6-6-07: The Eagle Tribune: Members RoBear, kentoe, and kaos were
interviewed for an article in The Eagle Tribune a few weeks ago.
We don't know much about the article because, unfortunately it is
not available online except for this
blurb.
6-5-07: Back Online: The bad news is that we may have lost a
few days of information. The good news is that we regained
tons of old posts before the first crash!
6-4-07: Server Issues: We are currently having problems with
our server. Please be patient and all information will be back
online shortly. In the meantime, go outside!

those French terms? The Australian Parkour Association has created a flash
presentation with audio and video examples for the worldwide community to share.

5-2-07: Keep Parkour Rivalry Free! Parkour was founded as a non-competitive discipline. Today traceurs worldwide have built communities on that foundation. The non-competitiveness and spirit of helpfulness are what make our communities great. Now there are businesses trying to destroy that for their own profit. 4-20-07: New Hot Spot Map: Since our old map was
somehow deleted, we now a new one using Google Maps.
This new map has more detail and is more interactive.
It is still a work in progress, but you can click the Hot
Spot icon on the left of this page to check it out.
If you have a spot to post, instructions will be posted
here soon.

Flickr.com where members can upload their photos and view pictures

3-23-07: The Great Forum Crash of 07: well not so much a
crash, but rather me accidentally deleting everything. Sorry
everyone. I've started to recover some of the old threads, but
we are going to have to start fresh for the most part.
3-18-07: New Research Article: Kaos has comprised an in
depth look into why there is so much confusion about parkour and
freerunning in the public. Check it out in the research
article section on the homepage.
3-15-07: Spring is here! and the forums have exploded.
With the forums buzzing and a surge of new members, we have
appointed Loki as a moderator. Please don't give him any
unnecessary grief as his perfects his moderating style. He is
easily one of the most dedicated members of this community.

We once again have google ads to help pay
for the website. We will be doing
things a little differently this time

12-21-06: Hot Spot Map: We now have a
comprehensive hot spot map using the site mapbuilder.net.
Anyone can log on and update the map with new training
grounds. The link to the map is on the left of
this page, and details on how to create new hot spots

12-14-06: New Articles Section: Take a look at
the lower right hand of the screen and you will notice a
new icon. Click it and expand your mind with the

11-1-06: Congratulations to Glyph for winning November's
picture of the month contest. Kaos gave him a run for his
money, but Glyph came out on top with a beautiful shot.
10-18-16: The Weekly Dig: Kaos, Glyph, and
Kentoe are featured in Boston's Weekly Dig. The
article focuses on Kaos' experience at the jam.
Although it does Parkour justice, Freerunning gets a

10-4-06: NU News: The Northeastern News ran a
nice article on parkour that featured Glyph,
ShadowShogun, IsaneCrazyStuff, Upriser, Robear, and Kaos.
The piece is good overall, but does not help our chances

9-29-06: Congratulations MR. JON! on winning
Octobers picture of the month contest with a beautiful
shot at the Baby Pool in MA.
9-19-06: Huge Success! As the title states, the
All New England Jam was a huge success. We had
close to 30 people show up, and jammed for 6 hours. Congratulations to everyone for making the New England
scene thrive! You guys are awesome.
Also, for everyone in the Boston area, make sure to
watch Chronicle on channel 5 tomorrow night at 7:30.
There will be a segment on Parkour!
9-6-06: Are you coming? NEPK is hosting a large
"All New England" jam in Boston on September 16th.
This is a chance for our members from all six states to
come meet each other and jam in some of New England's
best training grounds. Check out

9-4-06: Pulse Magazine: There is an article
on Parkour in this month's issue of
Pulse Magazine. The article features kaos with
pictures of eekro and ductmonkey. Congrats to
those two! There is some misinformation in this

9-2-06: Evilo strikes again! Alex Olive a.k.a. Evilo
has won yet another picture of the month competition. He's got
some stiff competition this month. Can he pull it off again?
Also, Alex is featured on our new spotlight page. Check it
out at the bottom left of this page. Evilo is one of our top
contributors on and off the website, and we thank him for all his
efforts!
8-10-06: Cheshire Herald Article: Check out the new article in
the media section. Members Evilo and Kohan did a great job
setting up and participating in this article for their local paper.
8-1-06: A few news bullets: First off, congratulations to Evilo
on winning picture of the month for a second time! Second, the
old news bullets on the homepage have been archived. To access
them click the link at the bottom of this page. Finally, look out
for a short article on parkour coming up in
Pulse magazine
this September.
7-22-06: NEPK on WCVB: This past Thursday some nepk members met
with the producer for Boston's Channel 5 magazine show Chronicle.
Clint Conley and his camera man Dan shot footage for a parkour segment
in an upcoming show about outdoor activities. The shoot went very
well and Clint and Dan were fantastic. The piece is set to air
in late August, so everyone keep watch!
6-29-06: Congratulations Eekro for winning July's picture of the month contest. Eekro has submitted pictures consistantly for serveral months and it finally paid off!
In other news, the DB13 contest is over. The results will be announced sometime next week. Also, the weekend is coming and we have jams happening in Providence, RI and Boston, MA...so go out there and jam!
6-7-06: District B13 Poster Contest: New England Parkour is giving
away three
DB13 posters. The contest is simple. Use any medium
to show us "the essence of parkour." Submissions can be photos,
graphic designs, videos, short stories, drawings or any combination of
those things. Submit your entries in

thread, and mod's are welcome to enter. If you need some
inspiration, go see District B13. Good Luck!
6-1-06: EmperorcJ - Vortex: June's picture of the month features
some tricking. Although we concentrate on Parkour, we support all
types of exercise. Besides, you cannot deny its is an absolutely
beautiful shot.
5-28-06: Hartford Courant: The story titled "The
Amazing Race" features members of New England Parkour along with the
founder of parkour David Belle. Thanks to Joann from the Courant for
putting together a great article, and thanks to everyone who participated.
For those of you in Connecticut who are just learning about parkour,

5-26-06: District B13: The movie starring David Belle and featuring
parkour inspired action sequences, Banlieue 13 or District B13, is coming to

2-27-06: The Ductmonkey's
triumphant return!
Ductmonkey is a traceur that has been part of the American scene since its
first days. He came to Maine to give a presentation at an art
festival on Parkour that changed my life. That was a year and a half
ago. He's been out of the scene for a while, but now he's back, and
planning to train in Massachusetts this summer.
2-26-06:
New England Parkour is launched! Encompassing Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut,
and Rhode Island. New England Parkour is dedicated to bring traceurs
and freerunners in the Northeast together.
