11-26-07: Boldfacers.com:
Glyph was featured as a traceur on the site bolfacers.com which profiles Boston residents that make the city tick.  Discuss the article in the forums here.

10-13-07: Parkour North America:

Glyph pulls off the first ever picture of the month threepete with a fantastic photo asking the age old question. "Where is my head band?

8-1-07: Congratulations Glyph! for winning August's Picture of the Month contest.  Glyph always makes quality submissions...surprising that this is only his second time winning.

7-5-07: On TV Again! The episode of Chronicle that features New England Parkour will re-air Friday the 13th at 7:30 PM.  Watch it!

7-1-07: Congratulations Beau! for being featured in his first picture of the month.  The photo was taken by mellow.

6-6-07: The Eagle Tribune: Members RoBear, kentoe, and kaos were interviewed for an article in The Eagle Tribune a few weeks ago.  We don't know much about the article because, unfortunately it is not available online except for this blurb.

6-5-07: Back Online:
The bad news is that we may have lost a few days of information.  The good news is that we regained tons of old posts before the first crash!

6-4-07: Server Issues:
We are currently having problems with our server.  Please be patient and all information will be back online shortly.  In the meantime, go outside!

6-1-07: Congratulations D.e.M.o for winning June's picture of the month contest with his wall run picture 'Reach for the Stars.'

In other news, we have abandoned our flickr account for something much cooler.  We now have a user submitted picture database as part of the site.  Details here.

5-5-07: Parkour Terminology:
Have you ever wondered how to pronounce all those French terms?  The Australian Parkour Association has created a flash presentation with audio and video examples for the worldwide community to share.  Check it out at the top of our fundamentals page.

5-2-07: Keep Parkour Rivalry Free!
Parkour was founded as a non-competitive discipline. Today traceurs worldwide have built communities on that foundation. The non-competitiveness and spirit of helpfulness are what make our communities great. Now there are businesses trying to destroy that for their own profit. Everyone please take the time to read the first page of this very important thread on parkour.net.

5-1-07: Congratulations HaiWolfe! for being featured as May's picture of the month. She has submitted a few times before, but this time she pulled it off with a very nice shot.

4-20-07: New Hot Spot Map: Since our old map was somehow deleted, we now a new one using Google Maps.  This new map has more detail and is more interactive.  It is still a work in progress, but you can click the Hot Spot icon on the left of this page to check it out.  If you have a spot to post, instructions will be posted here soon.

4-8-07: NEPK Flickr Account:
We now have an account on Flickr.com where members can upload their photos and view pictures of each other.  More details here.

3-26-07: New FAQ & Tutorials:
Check out our new and improved FAQ page...especially if you are new to the site.  There is a lot of good content to help you get started.  Also there two new video tutorials on our examples page courtesy of pkto.ca.

3-23-07: The Great Forum Crash of 07: well not so much a crash, but rather me accidentally deleting everything.  Sorry everyone.  I've started to recover some of the old threads, but we are going to have to start fresh for the most part.

3-18-07: New Research Article:
  Kaos has comprised an in depth look into why there is so much confusion about parkour and freerunning in the public.  Check it out in the research article section on the homepage.

3-15-07:  Spring is here!
and the forums have exploded.  With the forums buzzing and a surge of new members, we have appointed Loki as a moderator.  Please don't give him any unnecessary grief as his perfects his moderating style.  He is easily one of the most dedicated members of this community.

2-11-07: Daily Collegian:
Our very own HaiWolfe (Jackie Hai) has written this amazing article on parkour.  If only every article on parkour was this good.  

2-9-07: New Hosting! Our home page and forums are now consolidated onto on server.  Farewell and thanks to texahol.com for helping us out for so long!

Also, check out the new videos section.  We are using the Revver.com video service to generate more money for the site.  You can create your own Revver account so that we can share your videos, or just let us upload the videos to the NEPK account.

1-8-07: Eagle Tribune Article:
For our first article of 2007 NEPK is featured in the Eagle Tribune.  We have the closing section in an article that is all about interesting ways to get fit.  Check out the article here and discuss it here.

Also MR.JON is now featured in our videos section (replacing the Portland Jam video).  Anyone who makes a truly badass video can join him.

Lastly there is a new article on the parkour roll in the Research Articles section. Read it!

1-1-07: Happy New Year!  NEPK has had an amazing year!  We have grown a lot as a community in many ways.  Thanks to everyone for making this one of the most tight knit parkour communities in the world.  Keep it up!  Train hard and respect each other.

Also, congratulations to ShadowShogun for winning our first Picture of the Month contest of the new year! 

12-28-06: Google Ads: They're back!  We once again have google ads to help pay for the website.  We will be doing things a little differently this time around.  Please do not abuse the ads!  A few bucks from honest clicks is better than getting kicked off again.  .

12-21-06: Hot Spot Map:
We now have a comprehensive hot spot map using the site mapbuilder.net.  Anyone can log on and update the map with new training grounds.  The link to the map is on the left of this page, and details on how to create new hot spots can be found here.

12-14-06: New Articles Section:
Take a look at the lower right hand of the screen and you will notice a new icon.  Click it and expand your mind with the articles inside.  Members who want to write articles for this page see kaos.

12-1-06: Congratulations to Loki for winning our most voted on picture of the month contest yet!  He eaked out a victory over Glyph with 14 votes to his 12.

11-29-06: New Spotlight: Through hard work and a lot of jam planning, Eekro has landed himself on our spotlight page.  Click the icon on the left to read more about his accomplishments.  Congratulations Eekro!  Keep it up!

11-19-06: NEPK Myspace: We now have our very own myspace page, www.myspace.com/neparkour. Check it out and be our friend if you have an account. Let me know if anyone wants any other pictures or videos on it.

11-17-06: NEPK on NPR: Today Quetzlcaotl and Kaos were featured on the NPR segment Here and Now. Kevin Donovan produced what we feel was a very good piece on Parkour. Go to here-now.org to listen to the piece, and click here to say what you thought of the piece in our forums.

11-1-06:
Congratulations to Glyph for winning November's picture of the month contest.  Kaos gave him a run for his money, but Glyph came out on top with a beautiful shot.

10-18-16: The Weekly Dig:
Kaos, Glyph, and Kentoe are featured in Boston's Weekly Dig.  The article focuses on Kaos' experience at the jam.  Although it does Parkour justice, Freerunning gets a diss.  You can read the article here.

10-4-06: NU News: The Northeastern News ran a nice article on parkour that featured Glyph, ShadowShogun, IsaneCrazyStuff, Upriser, Robear, and Kaos.  The piece is good overall, but does not help our chances of training at NEU.  You can read it here.

9-19-06: Huge Success!
As the title states, the All New England Jam was a huge success.  We had close to 30 people show up, and jammed for 6 hours.  Congratulations to everyone for making the New England scene thrive!  You guys are awesome.

Also, for everyone in the Boston area, make sure to watch Chronicle on channel 5 tomorrow night at 7:30.  There will be a segment on Parkour!

9-6-06: Are you coming?
NEPK is hosting a large "All New England" jam in Boston on September 16th.  This is a chance for our members from all six states to come meet each other and jam in some of New England's best training grounds.  Check out this thread for details.  Hope to see you there!

9-4-06: Pulse Magazine:  There is an article on Parkour in this month's issue of Pulse Magazine.  The article features kaos with pictures of eekro and ductmonkey.  Congrats to those two!  There is some misinformation in this piece.  To see kaos' corrections look here

9-2-06: Evilo strikes again!  Alex Olive a.k.a. Evilo has won yet another picture of the month competition.  He's got some stiff competition this month.  Can he pull it off again? 

Also, Alex is featured on our new spotlight page.  Check it out at the bottom left of this page.  Evilo is one of our top contributors on and off the website, and we thank him for all his efforts!

8-10-06: Cheshire Herald Article:
Check out the new article in the media section.  Members Evilo and Kohan did a great job setting up and participating in this article for their local paper.

8-1-06: A few news bullets:
First off, congratulations to Evilo on winning picture of the month for a second time!  Second, the old news bullets on the homepage have been archived.  To access them click the link at the bottom of this page.  Finally, look out for a short article on parkour coming up in Pulse magazine this September.

7-22-06: NEPK on WCVB:
This past Thursday some nepk members met with the producer for Boston's Channel 5 magazine show Chronicle. Clint Conley and his camera man Dan shot footage for a parkour segment in an upcoming show about outdoor activities.  The shoot went very well and Clint and Dan were fantastic.  The piece is set to air in late August, so everyone keep watch!

6-29-06: Congratulations Eekro for winning July's picture of the month contest. Eekro has submitted pictures consistantly for serveral months and it finally paid off!

In other news, the DB13 contest is over. The results will be announced sometime next week. Also, the weekend is coming and we have jams happening in Providence, RI and Boston, MA...so go out there and jam!

6-7-06: District B13 Poster Contest: New England Parkour is giving away three DB13 posters.  The contest is simple.  Use any medium to show us "the essence of parkour."  Submissions can be photos, graphic designs, videos, short stories, drawings or any combination of those things. Submit your entries in this thread, and mod's are welcome to enter. If you need some inspiration, go see District B13. Good Luck!

6-1-06: EmperorcJ - Vortex:
June's picture of the month features some tricking.  Although we concentrate on Parkour, we support all types of exercise.  Besides, you cannot deny its is an absolutely beautiful shot.

5-28-06: Hartford Courant:
The story titled "The Amazing Race" features members of New England Parkour along with the founder of parkour David Belle.  Thanks to Joann from the Courant for putting together a great article, and thanks to everyone who participated.  For those of you in Connecticut who are just learning about parkour, welcome!  We should be having a jam in your area soon.

5-26-06: District B13:
The movie starring David Belle and featuring parkour inspired action sequences, Banlieue 13 or District B13, is coming to American screens June 1st.  We have tickets to the advanced screening.  Click here for details and your ticket.  Also click here to view some screen shots and a poster.

5-2-06: Icon Contest:
For those of you who are itching to use your graphic skills, we have come up with the icon contest.  Create icons for one or all three of the open sections (videos, jams, and become a member).  Winners will have their work immortalized on the nepk home page. Please make them 90px wide and 80px high.  Submit your entries here.

5-1-06: OMFG Urban Gecko!
:  Urban Gecko has won May's picture of the month contest.  You might love the picture or you might hate it, but you cannot deny that it is freaking awesome. Congratulations!

4-23-06: Welcome to New England Parkour! If you have read the recent Boston Globe article and are finding us for the first time, please take a moment to look at our FAQ and to browse the forum. NEparkour.com is a place for people all over New England to meet up and discuss parkour and freerunning. There are already regular training sessions in several parts of New England. So if you are new to this, we welcome you to come train with us!

If you insist on IE then you have to lower your security settings to view the forum. Click the tool menu, then internet options, then privacy...and lower it.

3-4-06: A Few Notes  You can now click your state in the banner to go directly to your state section in the forum. Give it a try! Also, at the start of today we reached 30 members. I hope to see everyone contributing to the forums. On a side note, I will be attending a Jam over near Miami tomorrow. I know you are all stuck in the cold, so I'll jam extra hard for all of you.

3-1-06: New Forum  The new forum is in place! You will have to change your password and update your profile again. Check your email for current login information.

2-27-06: The Ductmonkey's triumphant return!  Ductmonkey is a traceur that has been part of the American scene since its first days. He came to Maine to give a presentation at an art festival on Parkour that changed my life. That was a year and a half ago. He's been out of the scene for a while, but now he's back, and planning to train in Massachusetts this summer.

2-26-06: New England Parkour is launched!  Encompassing Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island. New England Parkour is dedicated to bring traceurs and freerunners in the Northeast together.
